Irish Aid Fellowships for 2009-10
21/7/09 - Six Malawian candidates are among the 26 who have been offered the chance to undertake postgraduate study in Ireland under the 2009-10 Irish Aid Fellowship Training Programme. Malawi became an Irish Aid programme country in 2007 and this its first year participation in the programme.
The other successful fellows this year are from Burundi (1), Ethiopia (1), Tanzania (1), Uganda (10), Vietnam (2), Zambia (5).
Fellows will be undertaking Masters programmes in:
- MPhil International Peace Studies, TCD (1)
- Master of Laws (LLM), NUI Galway (4)
- MEd Special Education, TCD (1)
- MA Development Studies, DCU (1)
- MA Education, UCD (1)
- MBS Human Resource Management, DCU (1)
- MSc Agr (Environmental Resource Management), UCD (3)
- MSc Agr (Rural Development), UCD (2)
- MSc Development Studies, UCD (3)
- MSc Global Health, TCD (2)
- PG Dip/MSc Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Biotechnology, DIT (1)
- PG Dip/MA Development Studies, Kimmage Development Studies Centre (6).
Irish Aid also awarded 11 fellowships to students for regional study in Lesotho (2), Tanzania (5), Mozambique (3) and Uganda (1).
