Welcoming the 2011 fellows
35 new Irish Aid supported fellows were recently given a warm welcome to Ireland.
All of Irish Aid’s partner countries had at least one awardee beginning their studies in Dublin, Cork or Galway this year - 23 through the Fellowship Training Programme and 12 through the IDEAS Programme (details below).
Another 18 Fellowship Training Programme awardees are being supported by Irish Aid to study in their home country or in the region.

The country breakdown for awards in Ireland was as follows: Burundi 1, Ethiopia 2, Lesotho 1, Malawi 4, Mozambique 1, Palestine 1, Tanzania 3, Timor Leste 1, Uganda 5, Zambia 4 and Vietnam 12 (IDEAS).
